Biographie
Acoustic + Electronic + Electric is the formula that Soyouz set up since 2006.
Seismic drum n'bass rythms combined with systematic electronic orchestrations. Atmospheric oriental vocalization weaved out of a sail of distorted guitars. The band uplifts its audience through a thoughtful introspective outerspace journey. The resulting spirit-stimulating alchemy sounds like a confluence between Asian Dub Foundation, Ez3kiel, Massive Attack and Radiohead.
After a first mini album released in 2007, the band played about 50 gigs, opening for Zenzile, JMPZ, La Phaze, Shakaponk, Mamady Keita, Domb, or even sharing the headline at halls of their hometown: Paris (Trabendo, Nouveau Casino, Batofar, La Java).
Nominated as Revelation at the Télérama Dub Festival 2008.
Classified second at the Fallenfest contest at La Cigale Paris.
Selected by the music network in Essonne (Rezonne) then by the francilian regional network (RIF) to be accompanied by professionals and residencies,
Soyouz now gets ready to release its second EP, "Disque Rayé", in january 2010. With this new CD, Soyouz intends to show its evolution and maturation, to prove its determination to keep its flight orbit, and to gather more and more support and fans along its sonant pilgrimage.
